On Thursday 12 November, Kays is transformed into a gallery as we host an open house with an exhibition of works by painter Hilario Silva from Malmö. We open with a small event with bubbles, and all pieces will be available for purchase.

About the artist

Hilario Silva (b. 1964) was born in the Dominican Republic and trained at the national school of fine arts in his home country and in printmaking in New York. His inspiration came from an uncle who was a local artist, and from his museum visits in New York, where African masks and the compositional forms of different art movements set the direction of his career.

Silva paints feelings, roots and history – contoured figures and formed masses. He sees his art as a work of admiration and connection between people, and enjoys sharing his knowledge with other artists.
